Michael Egan’s path to writing comes from a background in the military, where discipline and attention to detail became second nature. That experience taught focus and perseverance, qualities that carry into writing stories that require careful world building and plotting. After leaving military service, Michael turned to two passions that provide balance: running and reading.

Running offers physical activity and mental clarity. Jogging regularly keeps the body active while allowing the mind to wander, process ideas, and work through story problems. Reading expands imagination and exposes Michael to different genres, styles, and approaches to storytelling. Science fiction and mystery are particular favorites, genres that explore the unknown and challenge readers to piece together puzzles alongside characters.

Stargazing is another passion that directly influences Michael’s writing. Looking up at the night sky raises questions about what else might be out there, whether life exists beyond Earth, and what contact with other civilizations might look like. Even though humanity has not yet made contact with extraterrestrial life, Michael believes the universe is too vast for us to be alone. That sense of wonder and possibility shapes the cosmic elements in ‘Threads of Fate,’ where ancient beings watch over humanity and twins possess abilities that connect them to forces beyond normal understanding.
